Apple TV teardown reveals 8GB onboard storage and its green credentials

For all those Apple fans or otherwise, who wish to peep write down under the hood of their gadgets, iFixit has torn open the new Apple TV this time. The tear down reveals that the tiny set top box has an 8GB Samsung NAND flash chip, alongside a worthy A4 processor with 256MB RAM. The device shows a solder pad on one edge, which appears to be a match for the Dock Connector, though the present Apple TV makes no provision for the same. The set top box has been fitted in with 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo chip, though the Bluetooth here is non functional. The device, we learn, will have things running super cool courtesy the low power A4 processor and will be very easy to repair.
